A second story was added to this existing downtown building which triggered a seismic upgrade to the existing portion of the building.  Our offices provided structural engineering services to replace exterior walls raise the roof and provide for a connection to the neighboring building.

Whiteside Seismic

The Whiteside Theatre Foundation acquired this historic theatre with the purpose of preservation.  Pillar Consulting Group provided a preliminary seismic review to help identify potential seismic deficiencies and worked with the Foundation to develop a mitigation strategy.

Pillar Consulting Group provided structural engineering services for this 6-story high-end commercial building in downtown Corvallis, OR.  The building uses micro-piles and a combination of braced frames and masonry shear walls for its lateral system.

The Jax

Pillar Consulting Group provided civil and structural engineering services for this downtown mixed-use development.  The first floor commercial space uses concrete columns and walls to support a 2-way mild reinforced concrete podium slab.  The upper residential floors are wood-framed with heavy timber framing at exterior corridors.
