Pillar Consulting Group was founded by civil engineers having a no-nonsense approach to site development, and that tradition continues in the firm today.

Our civil engineering services are focused on meeting the needs of site and facility owners in the commercial, industrial and institutional markets.  Our experience includes land use approval studies and applications; planned developments; variance requests; erosion and sediment control plans; NPDES 1200C permitting; site clearing and grading, roadway alignment and pavement design; storm water conveyance, detention, and water quality treatment facilities; sanitary sewage plans; lift stations and pump houses; domestic and fire water distribution, flow testing, modeling and design; small pedestrian and vehicle bridges; and rail and freight facilities.  Difficult sites facing challenges such as expansive clays, wetlands, limited access and environmental contamination are our specialty, and our broad, multi-disciplinary team approach has contributed to the success of hundreds of projects.

Animal Teaching Facility

When Oregon State University decided to undertake a major update their vintage WWII agricultural teaching facilities, they turned to Pillar Consulting Group to provide civil engineering expertise. This state-of-the-art teaching facility was the first building to go up amongst many in a large master plan, and required forward thinking when it came to utilities roadways.

Stormwater Vaults

The Brooklane Heights Subdivision is Corvallis, Oregon required three, large underground stormwater detention vaults that would meet King County, Washington requirements.  Pillar Consulting Group provided expert structural engineering to the subdivision’s civil engineer-of-record to produce the unique vault designs, one of which was over 8,000 square feet in plan dimension, and over 14 feet deep.
